Join a volunteer trainer in the Computer Lab for a session where you will prepare and electronically file your own taxes for the fastest possible refund. Taxpayers and taxpaying families earning less than $52,000 in 2008 are eligible for this free service. This will work for you if:

• You do not need to itemize your deductions (you do not own your home);
• Your income comes from employment, rather than from running a small business

Please bring the following documents with you to the session:

• Social security numbers for the taxpayers and dependents
• All W-2 forms for the year from all employers
• If applicable, childcare and dependent care expenses, including the name, address, phone number, and Tax ID number of the childcare provider
• If applicable, the name, address, and telephone number of your landlord
• If applicable, any tax forms you received having to do with educational expenses for taxpayers and their dependents
• If applicable, bank account information so that your refunds can be directly deposited into your checking and savings accounts (deposit slips are a good source of this information)
• Your 2007 tax return (for eFiling, you need your Adjusted Gross Income from the previous year)
• The amount of your economic stimulus payment, if known
